To improve our prototype, our group decided to use project
management to enhance our baseball schedule as well as make it more efficient. There are four phases to project management,
the first one being the starting phase.
During this phase, the head coach will set up the template like the one
we have and discuss with other head coaches about game and practices
times. The next phase would be the
planning phase which is basically “who will do what and by when” (Kroenke 355). This aspect would include which position
players are doing what during certain times, as the head coach instructs. The third phase is the doing aspect which
would essentially be the test run of our prototype and report progress. If successful, then the finalizing stage
would be to use this prototype for everyday use baseball practices and
games. After discussing with our head
coach about this, he thinks this is a great first step forward towards a more
sustainable strategy for the baseball season.
